James Beeson 0 Gauge – Ex Great Central class N5 0-6-2 Tank Locomotive BR black No. 69254, 2-rail electric – Even in plain black the genius of Beeson shines through. The cab roof is detachable and there is exceptional cab detail.
Little information is known of this locomotive, it was purchased with another having belonged to Beeson’s brother who was a stationer in East Anglia. The original Locomotive was built in 1893 as number 5519, transfering to the LNER it was renumber 9254 in the LNER renumbering of 1946 and finally transferred to BR ownership in 1948 and numbered 96254. The Locomotive was withdrawn in March 1956 and scrapped in May of that year.
