Hornby 0 Gauge Early No.2 Electric special Tank Loco LMS Maroon No.2180, 3-rail electric. – Boxed – From the first year of issue in 1930 is this No.2 Electric Special Tank loco in LMS Maroon. First issued in 1929 with side brushes, brass pick-ups and small rear buffer beam and drop ling coupling. These new Locos were to replace the No.2 4-4-4 Tank loco’s these were more realistic and also in electric which was a far cry from the Clockwork only Locos available at that time. The condition is Excellent /plus in the correct Excellent box together with Corrugated wrapper, undated Guarantee slip, spanner , lamps and LMS label with an old retailers label to box ends. Produced in 1930 for one year in this format a great addition to any Hornby 0 Gauge collection.
