Good quality serviced Hornby locos will draw about 1.5 amps with a train of 2/3 coaches so as long as the mech’s are serviced there is plenty in reserve. Features includes auto cut off, built to allow operation of AC and DC mechs, forward and reverse front switch, sealed plug and other features. They have a rear heat sinks unlike the Gaugemaster transformers.
