Directory Series – Hornby 0 Gauge Style Loco & Tender SR L1 class No.A759, 12 volt DC electric – Boxed – Hornby 0 Gauge Style Loco & Tender SR LI class No.A1759, 12 volt DC electric –  This Loco was produced by Bernard Ridgley as a replica of the L1 class Loco produced by Hornby with the Ray Cooper 12 volt 3- rail mech. Hornby range were  produced from 1929 in Clockwork and from 1934 in electric until production ceased for the war effort in 1939/40. This example was built, painted and lined by Bernard to an exceptional standard.  The number A759 represents the earlier version of the Locomotive and in 3-rail electric. The mech has been checked and in full working order so a great opportunity to add this loco to you SR stud of Locomotives as a much cheaper option than the Hornby original.
