French Hornby 0 Gauge Early No.2 Tank Locomotive Nord lined Green No.4-4-4, Clockwork – Boxed – Circa 1924/25 – Excellent plus –  Here we have an early French 4-4-4 in NORD lined green with the Red valance, Brass buffers and the garter ‘Meccano France Limited PARIS’ Circular transfer top centre top of the boiler. These were the first issue of the 4-4-4 French Locomotives produced from 1924, these finish changed the following year to a green valance and cast buffers so it can be dated quite accuratley.  It is contained in the leatherette style locomotive box  with a white ‘NORD’ label to one box lid end, There is a French Guarentee slip dated pasted to the inside of the box and a French retailers label to the top right hand side of the lid. A very interesting early French Locomotive in Generally Excellent overall condition, a great addition to any Hornby 0 Gauge collection.
