Bassett lowke Gauge 1 Wooden Goods depot with a number of Enamel signs and opening doors – unboxed – Bassett Lowke produced a number of Wooden Buildings and accessoroies pre war in various Gauges 0 and 1 as well as some large Gauges. Here we have the standard Goods depot produced for Gauge 1. This measures 23 inches long * 6.5 inch wide (Platform) and 10 inches tall (58 *16*26 cm) approx. The enamel signs include Schweppes, Whitbread’s, Black & White Whisky, Murton, Wrights, Bassett Lowke and others etc. The roof has the ‘GOODS DEPOT’ sign which is seen on the 0 Gauge example as well. There is some over painting to the cream finish to the steps, side door and chimney etc and there is some loss of the finish to the platform. This Gauge 1 example is harder to find than the 0 Gauge version. Overall Good/plus. A great addition to any Gauge 1/2 vintage Train collection.
