Hornby 0 Gauge E420 Special Loco & Tender SR ‘ETON’ No.900, 20 volt electric Circa 1938 – unboxed – Here we have from the Range of electric Locos produced by Hornby is this E420 Loco & Tender is the SR ‘ETON’. These were only produced from 1937.  The only No.4 Loco produced by Hornby was for the Southern Railway  and were not produced for the other 3 regions. These were very popular and as close as can be called prototypical to the real Schools class Locomotives operating on the Southern railways in the late 1930’s. There has been some professional restoration of the boiler and some relining on the cab side, these have been completed to a very high standard. The front cylinder rods are replacements, Overall Good/plus Excellent condition.  A great addition to any Hornby 0 Gauge collection.
