Carette Gauge 2 (54mm) MR (Midland Railway) Open wagon, – unboxed – Here we start with a range of Gauge 2 (54mm) and this is the Mr open wagon with the 1909 maufacturing date to the wagon base denoting Pre first world war. Gauge 2 became unpopular after the First world war in favour of Gauge 1 so any stock remaining was sold with Gauge 1 wheels. Carette /Bassett lowke produced a number of wagons in Gauges 0, 1 and 2.
