Carette Gauge 2 (54mm) GW Mica Brake van, – unboxed – Here we start with a range of Gauge 2 (54mm) and this is a GWR Brake Van in White in Grey tin printed with White lettering, this version has the Bassett Lowke logo on the Van chassis sides, Circa 1914. Gauge 2 became unpopular after the First world war in favour of Gauge 1 so any stock remaining was sold with Gauge 1 wheels. Carette /Bassett lowke produced a number of wagons in Gauges 0, 1 and 2. Generally Excellent condition overall. I will be listing a number of Carette Gauge 2 Wagons which go very well with the LNWR Tank Locomotive I have listed for sale.
